Asio Florence Denies Abduction Claims

National Unity Platform (NUP) flag bearer Asio Florence has clarified that she was not abducted, contrary to widespread reports that circulated on social media earlier this week.

Asio explained that her recent disappearance was due to family pressure and personal issues, not a politically motivated abduction as some had alleged.

She revealed that certain family members had expressed discomfort with her involvement in active politics to compete with Speaker of Parliament Anita Anita amomg in the race of  Woman Mp of Bukedea District, prompting her to take a short break from public engagements to address internal family matters.

“I want to make it clear that I was not abducted. I was safe with my family, trying to handle some personal and family-related issues,” Asio said.

Her clarification comes after days of speculation among supporters and the public, many of whom had raised concerns about her safety.
