Vatican has announced May 7,2025 as the set date for next Pope Election conclave in the Sistine Chapel which will be closed to the public during the proceedings.

This decision was made during the fifth general congregation of cardinals at the Vatican’s Synod Hall after 8 days of mourning the late pope Francis who died on Easter Monday leaving the papacy vacant.

The process of papal election requires only 80 cardinals eligible to vote, and these are bound to reject any outside influence.
