Japan wrapped up their World Cup qualifying campaign in dominant fashion, securing a 6-0 victory over Indonesia in Osaka. Daichi Kamada, fresh off an FA Cup triumph with Crystal Palace, netted twice in the first half, helping Japan reinforce their status as Group C winners with an impressive 30 goals across 10 matches.

Takefusa Kubo, Ryoya Morishita, Shuto Machino, and substitute Mao Hosoya also found the net, sealing Indonesia’s fourth-place finish in the group. Despite the heavy loss, Patrick Kluivert’s squad, supported by a strong traveling fanbase, progressed to the next round, where they will compete alongside five other teams for the final two Asian qualification spots for the 2026 World Cup in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

Japan’s emphatic win mirrored their previous 6-0 triumph over Indonesia in 1976, reaffirming their dominance in the fixture
