President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni officially launched his 2026 Presidential Campaigns at Bukalasa Agricultural College in Luweero yesterday , with a strong message on accountability and service delivery.
In his address, Museveni warned leaders against mismanagement of public resources, particularly the Parish Development Model (PDM) funds and government drugs. He emphasized that theft and corruption were undermining community transformation and pledged tough action against culprits.
“You know the thieves. They are your leaders. We should work together to arrest them,” the President told supporters, urging Ugandans to use local council structures to demand accountability.
He reiterated that those caught stealing PDM funds or government drugs should face arrest without police bond, and called on citizens to expose wrongdoers to safeguard government programs meant to improve livelihoods.
Museveni also highlighted Luweero’s historical role in Uganda’s liberation struggle, saying it remained central to his government’s development agenda.
