Democratic Forum (DF) member Busiiko Samuel has criticized opposition politicians, saying many of them believe that insulting and attacking others is the best way to gain public support.
Speaking during the Springboard program on KTV, Busiiko said that by constantly abusing and mocking government leaders, the opposition is unknowingly giving President Yoweri Museveni more strength and insight into their weaknesses.
He added that instead of focusing on personal attacks, opposition figures should develop strategic plans and alternative policies that can convince Ugandans to trust them with leadership.
“They don’t realize that every time they insult or ridicule, they actually empower Museveni to stay in power and learn from their mistakes,” Busiiko said.
His remarks have sparked discussion among political observers, with some agreeing that the opposition needs a more disciplined and organized approach to win public confidence ahead of future elections.
