President Museveni has renewed his commitment to fighting corruption in the upcoming term, urging Ugandans not to vote for individuals who offer bribes but instead to elect those with the strength and integrity to lead.
The President of Uganda, Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, confirmed that he will once again stand for the presidency, and he cautioned Ugandans to avoid petty politics. He made these remarks at the NRM headquarters, where he had gone to collect nomination papers indicating his readiness to contest in the 2026 general elections.
NRM party members gathered at the headquarters to welcome President Museveni as he picked up his nomination forms to run as the party’s presidential flagbearer in the 2026 general election.
