Samia Suluhu Hassan Wins Tanzania Election

The National Electoral Commission Chairperson, Jacobs Mwambegele, has declared Samia Suluhu Hassan of the Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) party the winner of Tanzania’s presidential election after securing 98% of the total vote.

The victory gives President Samia a fresh mandate to continue leading the country, following her first term that began in 2021. She thanked Tanzanians for their overwhelming support and promised to strengthen unity, economic growth, and good governance.

Celebrations broke out in several parts of the country as security forces maintained calm and order.
