Busiro East MP Medard Lubega Sseggona has said he will run as an independent candidate in the 2026 elections.
He made this decision after failing to get the NUP ticket, which was given to musician Mathias Walukaga.
Sseggona told his supporters at his home in Kyengera, Wakiso District, that he will still support NUP’s struggle but will stand on his own.
