Ssejjombwe Ibrahim, Kyeyune Allan, and Musoke Joseph have been charged with several offenses including land grabbing, malicious damage to property, illegal eviction, destruction of crops, and theft. These charges were filed at the Wakiso Magistrates Court.
It is alleged that between January and October of this year, the accused, together with others still at large, went to land belonging to Dr. Paul Biriibwa and Peter Biriibwa armed with machetes and sticks, and caused chaos by demolishing houses and destroying crops. They are also accused of using a truck to transport the stolen items.

Among the damaged property were workers’ houses, a 40-foot container, security cameras, solar power equipment, a water tank, as well as coffee plants, banana plantations, trees, and many other items, the disputed land is located in Bukasa, Wakiso District, at Block 314, Plot 846, Busiro.

Investigations revealed that the accused have no documents proving ownership of the land, nor have they ever lived on or used it, while Dr. Paul Biriibwa and Peter Biriibwa have occupied it for over 20 years.
The accused have been remanded in custody until the 19th of this month. Their arrest followed investigations by the State House Anti-Corruption Unit, in collaboration with the Criminal Investigations Directorate (CID) of the police and the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).
