“Absolutely no human rights violation in Uganda” Security Minister, Maj. Gen. Jim Muhwezi says.
The Security Minister, in response to questions about a number of Ugandans regarded as suspects picked about in drones, said on Tuesday that reports of human rights violations are simply allegations without evidence. He says that Uganda is a country governed by rule of law, and respect of the constitution and therefore there are no human rights violations in Uganda.
There have been several sequential allegations that the government has violated human rights especially through its security organs, accusing them of targeting opposition members.
Concerning the return of the mercenary drones, Muhwezi said a Statement will soon be released for it is one of the issues to be discussed on floor of Parliament and National Security Council.
