Following the death of former Kisoro woman Mp Sarah Mateke Nyirabashitsi on the 7th of September, Kisoro had its by-election yesterday on the 14th of November.
Grace Akifeeza Ngabirano(Independent)got 50,459 votes,Aisha Chimpaye (PPP) 157 , Ingabire Mable (UPC) 362, Rose Kabagyeni (NRM) 44,982 ,Juliet Masanase (FDC) 193, Zubedi Sultana Salim (NUP) 903.
The district’s returning officer, Mr Daniel Nayebare announced the results today at 1:30 am ;by declaring Independent candidate Grace Akifeeza Ngabirano as the winner of the election.
