DP Presidential Race Sparks Controversy Over Delegate List

There has been chaos at the headquarters of the Democratic Party (DP) located on Balintuma Road in Kampala. This followed supporters of Hon. Eng. Richard Ssebamala, who is vying for the DP presidency, expressing frustration and accusing their party president, Norbert Mao, of removing some members from the list of those set to participate in the party’s national delegates’ conference this Friday. During the conference, new DP leaders are expected to be elected.

Hon. Eng. Richard Ssebamala, who is vying for the position of Democratic Party (DP) president, has come forward to accuse the current DP president, Norbert Mao, of taking some of the party’s leaders to meet with Gen. Salim Saleh. Ssebamala has strongly condemned this action.
He has also stated that he is fully committed to contesting for the position and is determined to address all the issues affecting the party.
