Members of Parliament from the Northern Region of Uganda have clashed with the leader of opposition, Joel Ssenyonyi over the regional Parliament sessions.
Ssenyonyi claims that the 20 billion Ugandan shillings to be spent on these sittings is a wastage of the tax payer’s money,and therefore wants these sessions to be boycotted.
However,the Northern Mps claim that ugshs 20 billion is just peanuts of the Ugshs 72 trillion 2024/25 financial year budget.
They went ahead and asked Ssenyonyi to mind his business because the money to be spent isn’t from his pockets!
