MPs disagree with police decision of merging 1600 police posts
After the police resolution of closing almost 1600 police posts across the whole country, different members of the parliament have raised concern about the matter claiming that this is a security issue which needs to be formally presented to the parliament.
Police decided to merge the police posts few days after the armed men attacked the Busiika Police post and killed police officers on duty together with stealing guns and burning the police post.
The Kigulu South member of parliament Milton Muwuma Kalulu who serves as a vice chairperson of parliamentary committee on security said that the decision wasn’t made in good faith since the police didn’t inform them about the matter.
